The septic system that best protects
your health and your environment
Configurations
Choosing an onsite wastewater treatment system is based on the evaluation of your site and depends on many factors: the dimensions of your property, the size of the dwelling, the permeability of the underlying soil and the ground water level. Other factors to be considered are the annual operating and maintenance costs. This information should be part of your lot evaluation report made by the professional who will recommend which system to install.
High Permeability Soil
In sandy soil without high ground water level, the Ecoflo ® ST-650 (open bottom) offers a no-mound option at grade.
Low Permeability Soil, Rocky or High Ground Water Level
In low permeability soil, high ground water level or rocky sites, the Ecoflo ® ST-650 (open bottom) can be easily landscaped.
Sloping Lots
On sloping lots, the Ecoflo ® Biofilter closed bottom STB-500/650 or concrete Ecoflo ® STB-650B designed with an outlet at the bottom can achieve a gravity discharge of the treated effluent to a surface or a subsurface disposal.
Flat Lots With Low Permeability Soil
The concrete Ecoflo ® STB-650BR comes with an integrated pump. It allows return of the treated wastewater to a surface or a subsurface disposal. The concrete Ecoflo ® is robust, easy to install and completely buried underground in one whole unit.
Lots With Constraints
The Ecoflo ® Biofilter with bottom STB-500/650 is best for lots that are difficult to reach or where the landscaping is complex or the ground cannot support heavy equipment (rocky soil, steep slope, woodlot). Being completely buried underground, the Ecoflo ® Biofilter with bottom STB-500/650 therefore perfectly blends with your landscaping. The treated effluent is discharged to a surface or a subsurface disposal.
