There are 2 categories of onsite wastewater treatment systems: conventional and advanced. Regardless of the category of system, it always includes a primary treatment which is usually a septic tank. Onsite wastewater treatment systems are increasingly used in rural and suburban areas.
These installations must comply with current regulations which are oriented towards health and environmental protection.
The Ecoflo ® Biofilter complies with all local current regulations. It has successfully passed the Bureau de normalisation du Québec (BNQ) bench test as well as the NSF 40 Standard bench.
